About me... Carole

Hi my name is Carole and this is my condensed biography. Starting out in life I lived in Nisbet, PA until I was 13 years old. My family (Mom, Dad, Sister Judy and Brother Rick on the way) then moved about 7 miles up the road to Duboistown, PA. I graduated from high school and shortly thereafter I joined the Air Force. I absolutely LOVED my job in the Air Force ( U.S. Military Airlift Command (also known as MAC) at Scott Air Force Base - I worked in the Headquarters Search and Rescue Squadron. It was here I met and married Duane Hackney. We were married in November of 1982 and in March 1984 we had a son, Jason Hackney. In January 1985 we moved from Scott Air Force Base, IL to K.I, Sawyer Air Force Base (also nicknamed K.I. Siberia) in the Upper Peninsula Of Michigan. If you love LONG winters, fishing and hunting - you will be in paradise here! It sure was beautiful country I have to admit. In June of 1991 Duane retired and in May of 1992 we moved to Pennsylvania and lived in Trout Run, PA. In September of 1993 Duane passed away.

Jason and I then moved a little further into civilization in Williamsport.

In August of 1999 God blessed me with a wonderful and loving man. That man would be Harland Bergstrom whom I love and adore ! In December 1999 we were married.. The beginning of a wonderful life together! On January 1, 2003 Harland and I moved into our current home, my dream home. I always loved farmhouses and Victorian homes and our home is a combination of both.

In 2005 Jason graduated from Lock Haven University with a degree in teaching (secondary education in Social Studies).

Harland and I share our home with our four-legged furry friends, Mister, Sissy and Uh-Oh and our cat, Kitty. We just love our home and pets. We enjoy (for the most part) working in our yard (a little shy of 2 acres). I love planting my flowers every year and Harland loves taking pictures of them.

I love my life with Harland - every year is an adventure. We never know where life will take us - but so far it has been GREAT !
